The contribution investigates the Swedish novel Ett öga rött (One Eye Red) by Jonas Hassen Khemiri, focusing on the protagonist Halim’s insistent search for an Arab Heimat located in “imaginary geographies”, from which he finally detaches himself acquiring the consciousness of being a post-migrant subject who lives with “ease of presence” in Swedish society.
