The present article proposes an ecocritical reading of Albert Sánchez Piñol’s novel La pell freda (2002). Divided into six sections, the analysis of the landscape and its connection with the characters will demonstrate how tragic the relationship between man and nature is. The interpretation of the island on a global scale will provide a parallelism between the characters’ conflicting behaviours and the equally violent and self-destructive actions of humankind.
