The complex themes raised by reflections on the Anthropocene will be investigated in Ishiguro's novel Klara and the Sun (2021) in a narratological perspective that will explore the relationships between the agents of an «Earth System» (Latour 2015), which in the novel highlight a necessary reflection on our relationship with the Other, human/non-human. Through the perspective of a robot, an effect of estrangement is created in the text thanks to which the reader can understand new truths in the relationship between nature and culture.
