Abstract

If the reflections on ecology and literature are now compelling, some concepts from Ernst Haeckel’s first definition (1866) can still be fruitfully investigated in order to enrich and enhance the theoretical framework. This contribution intends, firstly, to focus on the relational aspects of literary ecology, relying on the main recent critical perspectives. Besides, it intends to propose a relational reading of some literary texts that occupy the space in between subject and object in a manner that can be defined, with Haeckel, as ecological.
