The contribution examines the extent to which the representations of nature in Selim Özdoğan’s novel The Blacksmith’s Daughter match the pastoral atmosphere prevalent in Turkish village literature. It also investigates whether ecological reflections in the works of German-Turkish authors could broaden the spectrum of European/German Nature Writing.
