Peter Høeg was able to adapt his works that were closest to the stylistic features of genre literature to a realism that allowed elements of Danish geography to be inserted into the imagination of the international reader, but he also demonstrated how the same geographical places can be manipulated by sliding the settings towards a distorted reality. The same strategy is used by Høeg with architectural constructions. The contribution analyzes a large part of his works, where the adherence to ever-changing genres is purely apparent, while the construction of hidden elements in the architectural structures is a constant that provides the plots with possible development spaces, often behind and beyond real architecture.
