The article analyses two contemporary Norwegian novels, Alle utlendinger har lukka gardiner by Maria Navarro Skaranger and Tante Ulrikkes vei by Zeshan Shakar, both stylistically and thematically. The focus is laid on the differences between real and fictional kebabnorsk (Kebab Norwegian), and on the function of language in the definition of the identity of the three protagonists.Downloads
