This paper illustrates how the feeling of not belonging and the experience of exclusion are expressed in literary texts by German-Russian authors. Starting from the poetry by Russian German authors and the novels by Natascha Wodin and Julya Rabinowich, this paper utilises Michel Pêcheux‘s concept of fortress and paradoxical space in order to describe the mechanisms of exclusion.Downloads
